I've gone back and re-checked this and it no longer seems to be a problem. I can now Suspend and Hibernate my Dell Inspiron 600m and resume without problems. Before, on any attempt to resume, I'd lock up and have to do a hard reset. Here's some info that I hope is useful:
I am currently using: Dell Inspiron 600m laptop Ubuntu Karmic Koala 9.10 GNOME 2.28.1 Linux kernel 2.6.31-20-generic 1 GB RAM Intel M 2.0 GHz I went ahead an uploaded my system info via apport. If I was not supposed to do this, I apologize. In a moment I'll go and try to remove the relevant tags. (Sorry, this is my first time helping out in this way). Thanks, Eugene PS The same applies to Bug 471872, which is an identical issue, I think.
