Public bug reported:

The installation guide at:

https://help.ubuntu.com/6.10/ubuntu/installation-guide/example-
preseed.txt

incorrectly (AFAICT) states devfs paths are supported:

# Alternatively, you can specify a disk to partition. The device name can
# be given in either devfs or traditional non-devfs format.

It seems the NoMoreDevfs spec:

https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/no-more-devfs
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/NoMoreDevfs

was implemented before edgy's release. In fact, I tried preseeding an
edgy installation with a devfs path, which failed.

** Affects: installation-guide (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
