This seems to be pretty much the same as the bug I reported ID 568813, in my case I purchased the 10 DVD set from an authorised seller linked from the Ubuntu site for £23. Everyone else who has paid money for DVD sets is going to find them pretty much unuseable. I agree with Sensiva that this is a critical bug for those with no high speed internet access or none at all.
