Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: language-support-input-ne
I've been trying to use the Romanized Nepali input method with Lucid
Beta (10.4). It works quite well, except where one would expect the
zero width joiner character to be, the "=" sign still prints. This
makes the creation of certain half characters very difficult. "न्न" for
instance is not used very much. But, in order to get "न्न" the zwj
character is needed. I have tried setting options in the layouts
section of the keyboard preferences, but these do not seem to change
anything. That, of course, may be the entire bug, but I am not sure
where to file that.
Workaround: For now, I am using the character map to copy the zwj
character, and then using ctrl-v when I need it. This works for my
purposes but is obviously not ideal.
