Check kernel.log, there are a lots of segfaults like:

00007fff93a53300 error 4 in libc-2.11.1.so[7f0658ed8000+178000]
Don't know if could be correlated to the error, but the suspend to ram
simply do anything (lock and power off the screen, but the suspend isn't
triggered).
