Thanks. Have run update/upgrade commands per instructions: sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get dist-upgrade 1. Computer #1 will recognize other USB electronics that are connected, including Android phone, camera, flash drive. The computer will not recognize Linksys wireless A/G USB adaptor. The USB port is operating properly. When I connect the Linksys wireless A/G USB adaptor, there is a power light, however, the "link" indicator light does not come on. Computer will operate with ethernet connection. The wireless adaptor worked properly with Ubuntu 9.10. 2. Have now tested the wireless adaptor on a Computer #2 running 10.04 and this computer will also not operate the adaptor properly. As on computer #1, the power light will turn on, however, the link light will not turn on and computer cannot operate the wireless adaptor. Internal wireless adaptor is working fine on computer #2.
