Thanks. Have run update/upgrade commands per instructions:
sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
1. Computer #1 will recognize other USB electronics that are connected,
including
Android phone, camera, flash drive. The computer will not recognize Linksys
wireless A/G USB adaptor. The USB port is operating properly. When I connect
the Linksys wireless A/G USB adaptor, there is a power light, however, the
"link" indicator light does not come on. Computer will operate with ethernet
connection. The wireless adaptor worked properly with Ubuntu 9.10.
2. Have now tested the wireless adaptor on a Computer #2 running 10.04 and this
computer will also not operate the adaptor properly. As on computer #1, the
power light will turn on, however, the link light will not turn on and computer
cannot operate the wireless adaptor. Internal wireless adaptor is working fine
on computer #2.
