No! That bug is reffered to karmic. I don't have any problem in karmic. I am having it on lucid from alpha2 to rc. Plus I have tried the terminal way (alt+F2/3/4/5/6): sudo shutdown -P now, sudo shutdown -h now, sudo /etc/rc0.d/S90halt stop and it reboots again, without having ANY error message. I also just updated my bios to the last version and i still have the same problem. Also as i already wrote, the same happens to kubuntu and xubuntu. ps1. I've tried other linux distributions (eg Fedora 13 beta) to check whether it might be a general kernel problem, but they shutdown normally. ps2 I installed the 2.6.33 kernel following the ubuntu-forums directions, but it didn't fix anything. Please help!
