I'm afraid that I need a bit of guidance to test the mainline kernel. Lucid has kernel 2.6.32-21-generic. The table linked from the wiki has entries for 2.6.32-21.31 and 2.6.32-21.32. Not sure which is appropriate. But they both point to mainline 2.6.32.11+drm33.2.
So I went to http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ and there does not seem to be an entry for that particular version. But there is a v2.6.32.11-lucid, which looks promising. The wiki says that one needs the image, common (all) headers, and arch specific headers. Only the image and arch specific headers seem to be present in this directory. I can install the image fine, but the headers won't install because they depend on the common headers. I assume this would also prevent me from installing the nvidia module via dkms...? I can try to run with the nouveau driver but this is a mythtv machine and I'm not sure how well nouveau and mythtv interact. -- ath5k unable to associate to AP https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/531743 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
