I've now established that the MP3 file ripped using Ripper X do not work so I guess these are not GOOD MP3 files. Using other MP3 files Rhythmbox works OK. The problem is with Ripper X and it's production of MP3 music files.!!! I still have a problem with my laptop sound card recognition... it works OK in MS Windows, but not with Unbuntu 9.10.. Any Ideas...??? please Regards Dave
