Martin:Thanks for this. I was wading through this very long post yesterday after getting my ASUS EEEPC 1201N and was trying everything. It was frustrating to see wlan0, only to find that it was inoperable. A kernel driver that does not work on the device creates more problems than not having the driver. I will post a short how to on Ubuntu: there is nothing there that solves this problem yet. I am up and running with the internal wireless card now:-)
