** Description changed: Hi, I have HP Compaq nx6325 and Ubuntu Lucid. After a boot the screen is bright. If I try to decrease screen brightness and then increase brightness again to full, the screen does not become as bright as it is from the boot (even if the ubuntu screen brightness popup meter shows full).
