The syslog you attached is not one from a live CD session in which you ran the installer, and therefore unfortunately doesn't help me fix your bug at all. Please see http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingUbiquity/AttachingLogs for guidance on getting me the log files I need to fix this.
