That doesn't make sense. Other distros that I routinely install, like SUSE 10, detect the zip drive without any problem. (And its the exact same computer - I'm using a computer that has a swappable hard drive, and I'm always switching between hard drives with different OS's installed on them.) Because other OS's, including Windows and other Linux distros, detect and use the zip drive fine, I know the zip drive is seated properly on the motherboard.
