I don't know if there is another similar bug posted elsewhere. It seems
the connection drops with the b43 driver randomly only when the
connection is actually being used. ndiswrapper has no issues with the
same router. Some experimentation revealed I can get a stable connection
if I force my router to use 802.11b only, instead of g. While that
limits speed, it's my best option for now as ndiswrapper has never
supported WPA2 for my card. I sure hope they fix g mode for the b43
driver. It would be perfect if they did. I generally can even find more
signals when scanning for networks with this driver vs ndiswrapper.
