Binary package hint: gnome-system-monitor
On the processes tab of gnome-system-monitor, I don't see all processes.
So I go to Edit, Preferences, Processes and tick User to see user names
in the process list. The only processes listed are ones belonging to my
userid.
I then try sudo gnome-system-monitor. This time I only see root's
processes.
If I have a performance issue, and want to use gnome-system-monitor, it
appears I first have to guess which user owns the process then run
gnome-system-monitor as that user. Useless.
By the way, top shows all processes.
