I tried this many times, really.. It seams that GRUB menu flashes for a moment
but then it immediately displays something like this:
Boot from (hd0,0) ext3 886ef......
Starting up ...
Then Ubuntu splash screen appears for a while and then infamous black screen.
And nothing ever happens until I restart the laptop.
