Public bug reported:

My RT2570 wireless card worked perfectly in all versions of Ubuntu from
7.10(ish) - 9.10. Never worked on Windows XP. Upgraded to 10.04 last
night. The card now drops connection quite frequently (could stay up for
10mins - 1hr) and is slow, rarely getting over 100kib/s to a local
computer.

To get the connection back I must:
- click disconnect in nm-applet
- sudo ifconfig wlan0 down
- click on my preferred network (NETGEAR)

Further info:
Original install was Ubuntu 9.04 upgraded to 9.10 and now to 10.04. Will try a
clean install on a different machine (card is usb) and see if that makes any
difference.

This is the only problem I have had with the new LTS. I will stick with
it for a while and hope that a fix will come down through the pipes. I
am generally very pleased with the new Ubuntu - thanks to everyone for
their great work!
