Error message "XID collision, trouble ahead" remains.
When I disable flash the web navigation is fast. When I enable flash player the web navigation is stuck (takes 5 to 20 seconds to run each click or each web address I enter or when I enter in my email account...) the error message "XID collision, trouble ahead" remain. I tried to install flashpblugin-nonfree from synaptic and I got the same error message "XID collision, trouble ahead". After I uninstall flashpblugin-nonfree from synaptic and after I run from terminal the uninstall command line: sudo apt-get remove --purge nspluginwrapper flashplugin-nonfree -y I tried to download flash plugin 64 Bits from stie http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10_64bit.html When I typed on terminal tar -xf libflashplayer-10.0.45.2.linux-x86_64.so.tar.gz sudo mv libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins it did not install anything So I unziped libflashplayer-10.0.45.2.linux-x86_64.so.tar.gz to libflashplayer.so So I tried on terminal sudo nautilus /usr and I copied libflashplayer.so from place "downloads" to place /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins This procedure installed flash again But I got the same error message "XID collision, trouble ahead". > Date: Sat, 1 May 2010 04:04:33 +0000 > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Subject: [Bug 570040] Re: Firefox 3.6 stuck on Ubuntu 10.04 64 Bits > > The flashplugin-nonfree package from the official repository should work > without having this issue.
