Maybe this helps a little: For me following David Henningsson suggestion to try the alsa-plugins from https://launchpad.net/~diwic/+archive/ppa fixed the problem with Kega Fusion hanging at the sound initialization.
The sound-init problem just turned up when initializing sound through the onboard HDMI output. This audio output causes some trouble anyway with the latest NVidia driver of the 19x family (details: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=140999&page=7). The system's optical output from the same sound hardware did not cause any problems in the first place. Using audio via the HDMI output the framerate drops from 60 to under 30 (Atom N330 Acer Revo 3610 system) with sound @22kHz. Using the optical output I get a stable 60 frames. -- Sound problems. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/512612 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
