Ketil Wendelbo Aanensen:  Apology number 2!  Sorry, Ketil, I should've
listened to you the first time!!  I just added the OpenDNS addresses to
Ubuntu, and Gwibber now seems to be working again, even with the router
connected.

I assumed that, because I'd got the OpenDNS addresses in my router, I
didn't need to add them to Ubuntu.  Wrong again!

I've left the router set to point to OpenDNS for the other computers
attached to it.   I can't quite understand how things are working now,
though.  I wonder how come it wasn't enough just to have the OpenDNS
addresses on the router?
