Don't give up... It seems that the driver blocks the whole usb controller. The bad thing is that no input is possible when the driver is active, so it is not possible to find out why... I think that the input devices are in conflict somehow...
I didn't change my xorg.conf as after the first reboot it worked just fine, but for a couple of minutes before the input was lost...
