I have the same error message using install from scratch (official Lucid, not one of the alpha or the beta) on an HP 8730w mobile workstation (x86_64). I get the initial boot screen (select language & boot options), then after a while, I get something like (sorry, probably not the exact error message):
(initramfs) Unable to find a live filesystem image I get this error message both booting from the CD-ROM or from the SD- card reader. No way I can reinstall the system from scratch. This is a regression from previous alpha/beta/rc: My system was previously installed using an ISO image from those previews. I was willing to re-install from scratch using the clean published version, but this does not seem to work. Anything else I can provide to fix this, please let me know. Finally, please not that I am not sure this is exactly the same bug.. the message is pretty short. -- Kernel upgrade does not update initrd.lz on a live usb https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/489736 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
