When putting plymouth into initramfs, how much delay does it introduce? I've seen this bug on several machines including a netbook with gma950 and ssd(does not agree with the worse on hdd statement), and it's quite disappointing after the nice grub splash and plymouth splash on the live cd, to see a black screen until X loads.
Why should we not have the same nice looking bootup after install? Why is this triaged? Is there a more proper way to solve this than putting plymouth into initramfs? What about the grub splash? -- X server starts before Plymouth, or a very short time after (no or brief splash) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/540801 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
