Public bug reported:

Description:

The computer will suddenly and abruptly reboot.

How to reproduce:
I can currently reproduce this as follows:

1) sudo killall -9 mountall [reason: mountall eats 100 % of a cpu core after
boot - can't mount my nfs share in etc/fstab]
2) open the network connections dialog box from NetworkManager applet
3) select wired eth0, change ipv4 settings from automatic to manual, configure
ip 10.0.0.203 and netmask 255.255.255.0

After typing the first character or so of the netmask, the machine will reboot.
Reproducibility is 100% [I tried about 10 times now]. If I do not kill
mountall, it will not happen [tried that a few times too].

Additional notes:
* This happens on both 2.6.32-22.33 and 2.6.34-999 [from
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeam/MainlineBuilds].
* if I tail -f /var/log/kern.log, I see two lines appear that are missing after
the reboot:
   md: stopping all md devices
and something about sda: synchronizing [not sure about that line]
* kern.log sometimes contains something that looks like a stacktrace. It does
not happen all the time and does not seem related to the crash
* I had linux-crashdump installed, but no /var/crash/linux-image* files [there
is a fglrx.crash though]
* it always happens on modifying that netmask field. Not when modifying the ip
address.
