Rhythmbox works fine for me once I manually disable the mtpdevice plugin
using gconf-editor (/apps/rhythmbox/plugins/mtpdevice  uncheck active)
or manually remove the mtpdevice plugin from the plugin directory
(/usr/lib/rhythmbox/plugins/mtpdevice). This isn't a fix perse, but it
would at least allow you to run Rhythmbox with other plugins until the
problem can be figured out in the mtpdevice plugin.

Maybe it would be a good idea to breakout the rhythmbox-plugins package
into separate packages for each plugin? (I know that belongs in
brainstorming, but still just a thought)
