I'm starting to get the feeling that this is self-inflicted pain. You
keep talking about the ubuntu branch which is never touched unless you
explicitly tell gbp to do so. Can you try to reproduce this with one of
the live CDs? Please provide better instructions how to reproduce. The
commands you mention in your different tickets all work fine for me.
