I'm experiencing this same bug. Have been since I upgraded to Karmic. It's still an issue under Lucid, too (fresh install)
I'm using a Treo 650. With the visor module loaded, I get the following in /var/log/messages when I press the hotsync button: May 3 23:20:31 wedge kernel: [15820.044687] visor 2-1.3:1.0: Handspring Visor / Palm OS converter detected May 3 23:20:31 wedge kernel: [15820.044829] usb 2-1.3: Handspring Visor / Palm OS converter now attached to ttyUSB0 May 3 23:20:31 wedge kernel: [15820.044922] usb 2-1.3: Handspring Visor / Palm OS converter now attached to ttyUSB1 May 3 23:20:32 wedge kernel: [15821.281092] usb 2-1.3: USB disconnect, address 23 May 3 23:20:32 wedge kernel: [15821.281491] visor ttyUSB0: Handspring Visor / Palm OS converter now disconnected from ttyUSB0 May 3 23:20:32 wedge kernel: [15821.281704] visor ttyUSB1: Handspring Visor / Palm OS converter now disconnected from ttyUSB1 May 3 23:20:32 wedge kernel: [15821.281734] visor 2-1.3:1.0: device disconnected I'll try that apport-collect command next -- Visor module resets Treo 680 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/496665 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
