It didn't solve the issue for me. I know that thing clogs on my Dell
laptop, I clean it twice a year! I just opened it up and cleaned it out.
But it was obvious that this would not help from the beginning, as heat
is not the issue here. The wavy external monitor happens on a cold boot,
and only affects the video out (the builtin screen works fine).

This is not flicker, that problem was solved. Starting from comment #25
the bug manifests itself only as waviness when using an external
display. 13 or 14 posters in this thread have confirmed this. I will
update the bug title to reflect this. Thanks.
