Had the same problem wit gparted not recognising the partition table. What happened was that I had deleted my partition table, not on purpose ofcourse. I used 'gpart' to restore it. Gpart wrote it back to disk and GParted did not recognise it.
After some searching I cam across 'testdisk'. Does the same as 'gpart' but with more options IMHO. The key option that I needed in 'testdisk', was to rewrite the MBR. After rewriting the MBR with testdis, gparted recognised my partitions. I was working on 8.10 (intrepid) and was upgrading to 10.4 (lucid), well upgrading, preparing all for a reinstall... -- Gparted does not recognize my partition table https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/535483 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
