Same deal here. I get a blank screen on both of my laptops. One was load with the 10.04 beta and the other was with the final release. I was hoping this bug would be resolved with the final release and I would be able to download a patch for my other "out-of-service" laptop. On both I am able to pull up the GRUB menu, and only one am I able to boot into a low-res video mode. I was able to log the xorg.conf file on the one with the final release installed. and here it is posted. Please tell me that that magic cure to this blank screen is in this file and all will be well with Ubuntu.
