I can confirm this error. The two ways of addressing this would be to
replace all the deprecated functions, or ignore the errors. The new
upstream version (in Debian testing) has the errors fixed. Since
eregi() and others are not deprecated until php 6, I think we can ignore
the errors as a short term fix. Maverick should obtain the new version
from Debian.
If the release managers would prefer to fix these functions, let me
know.
