Ok, this is getting closer: I have probably clicked the "empty trash" menu item of the panel-applet the first time. This will not bring up the indicator icon in the tray bar. However when I do this now, the window is still in the window list of the panel but when I issued the bug report, I was not able to bring up the window in any way ( it was not in the windows list and it did not appear in the window switcher when I pressed ctrl+alt+tab which should bring up windows from all desktops IIRC ).
