Public bug reported:

If I press <ctrl> + <alt> + <F1> (or any other of F2-F6) to switch from
the graphic screen to a terminal. I can't use the apple-key (command) to
choose the third character on the keys. With a swedish lay ou this is
needed to print ''@'', ''|'', ''\'' and other important signs. If I'm
not using a laptop (wich has a smaller keyboard) I think it's possible
to use the right <alt> as a third chooser (instead of <altgr> on a non-
macintoshkeyboard). Since there is no right <alt> on the laptops the
extra terminal become pretty useless (because I cant pipe things och use
SSH for example).

** Affects: Ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
