This is an intermittent issue. I booted to the desktop (autologin) and had the obscured panel (attached above). I logged out and back in, and now it is fine. I don't know how to determine whether or not it is a compiz issue. I could disable compiz for a week, and if it doesn't reappear - that might be an indicator. But hardly proof.
I performed seven reboots just now, and only the last reboot took me to a desktop with the obscured panel. It had been my perception that 50% of the boots gave me this problem. How can I disable compiz completely for the next few days? -- Session applet gets obscured/replaced by second copy of "me menu" applet https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/568419 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
