Binary package hint: update-manager
After upgrade to 10.4 from 9,10 online, consoles (Alt-F2,…) were
unusable. The video display was corrupted.
Also the console during boot was corrupted.
This is a show stopper. System was restored to state prior to
"upgrade."
System:
amd64 Intel quad
nvidia graphics (9400GT) with proprietary drivers, dual monitor with separate X
screens
