Great to hear all the background machinations. As an end user, I just want a fix. Pronto.
Regarding whether the driver is actually fixed. I observe two things with the 2.6.33 kernel code. 1) I can only connect at "G" 54 mbs speeds. My card has and is capable of "N" 135 mbs speeds. 2) I am observing random disconnects after a period of time (number of minutes, or hours?). Don't know yet, more testing required. So, we still have a ways to go to actually resolve this. At this point and wasting a ton of time, it looks like I might have to wipe and reinstall a stock Ubuntu 10.04 gold and ignore all kernel updates until this actually gets a real fix! -CB -- [lucid] rt2860 frequently fails to connect to mixed mode WPA/WPA2 secured wireless networks https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/496093 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
