Follow this up:
Right click menu -> edit menu -> Under "System Tools" select
"configuration editor" (it will make configuration editor available on
your menu bar).
Open up Configuration Editor -> Desktop -> Gnome -> Interface
Check-Mark
1) menus_have_icons
2) buttons have icons
Done !
* Essentially you just need "buttons have icons" but other other option
will make your computer go fancier ! ;-)
