I had the same exact issue on my 1005HA when I had my /home encrypted during install.
I believed it was caused by an eee-tray applet I had installed - and because of that + a few other things, I decided to nuke it and re- install. That was in Beta 2 - since then, I have re-installed and do not have an encrypted home, and I have a separate issue that I believe may possibly shed some light on an underlying issue When I close the lid, select suspend from the top right login button, or hit function 1 (hotkey for sleep) everything works fine. But i have power settings set up to suspend after 5 minutes idle. Any time that kicks in the computer goes into hibernate. I would speculate that an encrypted /home (which prevents hibernation) might be what was causing my issues that appeared to be the exact same ones you describe. -- Suspend/hibernate goes to "Screen Locked" on Eee 1005 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/572883 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
