I have a similar machine: IBM IntelliStation Z Pro 6221 48A. I have one less SCSI disk and one IDE disk.
I get a kernel panic during boot with the 9.10-desktop, 10.04-desktop and 10.04-alternate LiveCDs (all 32-bit). I will attempt a serial console capture when I can. Note: I ran "apport-collect -p linux 521879" on my 9.04 installation which in hindsight doesn't appear useful given that it provides details for a kernel that doesn't exhibit the problem. I haven't managed a 9.10 or 10.04 installation yet and I do not want to try the upgrade path yet because it is my work machine. ** Attachment added: "lshw.9.04.clive.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/47987318/lshw.9.04.clive.txt -- Ubuntu won't boot correctly on a IBM IntelliStation Z Pro since 9.10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/521879 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
