Same problem and same solution as poitydrip...but... All Ubuntu user's aren't gurus !!! As ubuntu fan, I purpose to all people I know to switch to free software, preferabily on Ubuntu and chose also LTS vers. It's a very important bug when std apps, as browser doesn't work fine after upgrade !!! Same bugs are to maintain free software and ubuntu as confidential apps. I doubt that's Canonical's target.
