On my Gateway MX3410 laptop, the ide controller (part of the onboard
NVidia MCP51 chipset) has problems with sleep mode. Before putting the
system into sleep mode, the CD drive works fine. After waking from
sleep, it doesn't work at all (read or write), and dmesg fills with the
following:
