Public bug reported: Binary package hint: martian-modem
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS martian-modem version 20080625-1 The martian-modem package contains the userspace program for interfacing with an Agere WinModem. The source available here (http://martian.barrelsoutofbond.org/) also contains the code needed to build a kernel module martian_dev. This kernel module is needed to make an Agere modem work. Why is this kernel module not provided in the martian-modem package? Or is it provided in some other package? I'd like to be able to get this modem to work without building kernel modules from source, so a kernel update doesn't break my internet connection. ** Affects: martian-modem (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: agere linmodem lucid martian -- martian_modem does not provide kernel module martian_dev https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/577286 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
