After doing some searching, I found that this issue has been reported upstream: mozilla 543420. The upstream bug was filed against Windows, which suggests that this is not an Ubuntu-only issue. The upstream report also pointed to the support page I provided earlier: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Unable+to+install+add-ons which did not seem to resolve the issue for anyone. However, on that support page is an area describing how to make sure software installation isn't disabled. Just to be safe, could someone follow the directions on that support page and make sure their system hasn't disabled the installation for some reason? I highly doubt this is the case since nobody seems to be able to even download the addons, but it's another thing to rule out.
I will discuss this with some of the developers to see if this report should be linked to the upstream report and if there is any extra information that we will need. -- unable to download addons - example:adblock+ https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/573404 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
