I am running a fresh install of ubuntu with gnome on my toshiba satellite, first with karmic, then with lucid since last week. If I get your comments right, this bug should not affect me. But it does. I never had that problem with the same configuration on my old vaio nor my desktop. It is so annoying and definitely not an option to live with. Any suggestions are welcome.
