There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. Could test the current Ubuntu version? It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed. If you can test it, and it is still an issue, we would appreciate if you could upload updated logs by running apport-collect 211679.
If the version you now have won't install, there is no upgrade possible. Perhaps you could download the latest version from http://releases.ubuntu.com/releases/10.04/ and install it?
