in my case linux-headers-2.6.32-21-generic was installed. I expected this package to be updated at the same time the new kernel 2.6.32-22 was installed.
However, it did not. When I recognized that the nvidia module failed to build, I saw that "linux-headers-generic" was not installed. Installing this package also installed the update to inux- headers-2.6.32-22-generic. I installed the nvidia-driver with the program "Hardware Drivers" from the KDE-Menu. Ths installed "nvidia-current" which depends either on "linux-headers-generic" or "linux-headers". The dependency "linux-headers" is fullfilled by "linux- headers-2.6.32.21-generic". I also installed in text-mode with the alternate kubuntu-cd for amd64. -- kernel upgrade does not update kernel headers https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/575997 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
