Hi, I finally found the reason for the worse x11perf ShmPutImage results, which turned out to be unrelated to the flash fullscreen issue, and I found a way to fix the fullscreen flash issue here.
First, the worse x11perf ShmPutImage are a result of this change in xorg: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/commit/?id=11817a881cb93a89788105d1e575a468f2a8d27c With this change reverted, I get back the high benchmark result, but I see that the described bug is reintroduced and it does _not_ help the fullscreen flash issue. So it's better to not revert this change... But then I found an easy way to get the good karmic fullscreen flash experience. I simply had to disable hardware acceleration in the flash preferences. So this bug seems to be in the flash player trying to use hardware acceleration which is not available... So thank you for your attention, and sorry for the noise!
