Agree with Scott Moser: this looks like it could be related to installing MySQL at the same time as bacula. At least that was what I did, and saw the issue. Check issue #404768 for the same issue fixed around 2009-09-20 ([email protected]).
Another bug report mentioned fixing it with a reconfigure: sudo dpkg-reconfigure bacula-director-mysql I think that worked but I had to answer 'ignore' to a question I really did not understand. This bug/feature keeps popping up every release, much like the issues with integrated video on AMD laptops. It may really be a problem with release management, but I don't know how to fix it. Perhaps apt needs a second set of dependencies for the configuration steps at the end of the install so you can configure and start mysql before configuring and starting bacula-director-mysql. It seems that is probably a common requirement. -- package bacula-director-mysql 5.0.1-1ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/563039 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
