Public bug reported:
I am very disappointed with Ubuntu 10.04. My Karmic Koala was so fast
that I got greedy and installed Ubuntu 10.04 in the hope of even better
performance. But alas! Now my Sony Vaio machine takes a clear 4 minutes
to boot! Besides every program has become so slow. The Firefox Web
browser now is only half screen size with no borders. The Gnome Do also
does not work.
When I boot, I see this message, "The disk drive for /mnt/backupBox is not
ready yet or not present."
"Continue to wait; or Press S to skip mounting or M for manual recovery"
Can anyone please help me to restore my Ubuntu to its previous glory? It
would be greatly appreciated.
Kurian Mathew
