OK, I might have a reason for the problem, but I'm not sure this is a good workaround... at least I progressed (of sorts) Some of these steps might be irrelevant...
1. Upgraded UNR to 10.04 Lucid... 2. verified that no Ubuntu One key was present (in Applications->Accessoires->Passwords and Encryption Keys) 3. killall ubuntuone-login ubuntuone-syncdaemon 4. started Ubuntu One 4a. got the web page *WITH* the add this computer 4b. got a message/warning from NoScript (Firefox addon) ABE about one.ubuntu.com... 4c. shut ABE off for that one... 5. account now shows two computers... 6. Passwords and Encryption Keys now also show Ubuntu One token... 7. can put files on the share from either side... and have them eventually show up at the other side... In between stages of 7, it seems to help (of sorts) when one reconnects :-( Also, in the category "snails and salt"... not as easy to use as Dropbox (I like the icon on the panel it gives)... -- Ubuntu One semi-/not connected... https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/572651 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
